Our loved ones come in all shapes and sizes, and some are furry and cuddly. Our planet has been hit with a new threat, the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Many people wonder how it affects us and struggle to understand how we are going to cope, avoid, and prepare for it.
Roxton has been sifting through all of the "News" to find the facts and share them with you. Some of the questions we have been getting are, "What about my cat or dog? Can they get infected? Can they transmit it to other animals or humans? What can be done to help protect them?".
We have checked with The World Health Organization and they have advised that, "at the present, there is no evidence that companion animals / pets, such as dogs or cats can be affected with the new Coronavirus".
They do remind us however, that it is a good idea to wash your hands with soap and water after contact with any pet or animal. This helps to protect you against common bacteria such as, E. coli or Salmonella, that can pass between pets and humans.
So hug your furbaby and share the love without stress or worry!
