We have touched upon this subject before and have shared many articles about the dirties place in your home. Almost always everyone goes for the toilet but as all experts know this is not true - it is your kitchen sink. It is the place you wash and prepare everything that goes into your body and it matters not if you are a vegetarian, a vegan, or a meat eater. The kitchen sink is a nightmare on the worst possible street.
And if your sink is not disgusting enough for you it has accessories to pile on the germs like sponges, dish cloths and tea towels.
The article in the link below elaborates further but what you need to do is:
1) Ditch the sponge for a brush with plastic bristles as the bristles dry quicker and harbour less bacteria.
2) Wash your dishes with soap and warm-hot water.
3) After washing sanitize in warm water with a teaspoon of bleach or better yet forgo the bleach and sanitize in hot water at least 77 degrees Celsius for at least 2 minutes.
4) Let the dishes air dry in a drying rack.
