How Your Restaurant Should Be Preparing For Patio Reopening In Ontario

Premier Doug Ford has stated that within the week, there will be an answer as to if Patios will be reopened. There is some speculation that this will be decided using a regional approach to reopening patios and that the rest of Ontario will also follow the same methodology. To help, we have created a checklist of steps that restaurants should take in order to be prepared for reopening.

Checklist:

P.P.E. for your staff including masks, face shields if needed, and hand sanitizer.

A sufficient number of disinfectant wipes to ensure a high standard of disinfection.

A social distancing sitting plan so customers and employees can maintain proper social distancing. This may include placing plastic barriers between booths.

Signs and a designated employee to inform customers of the mandatory rules.

If your restaurant has checked yes to every single one of these on the checklist then you are ready to reopen your patio. If you have not checked yes to all, let us help you now.
