With many people back to working out daily, there is often one surface that is overlooked in gyms and studios when it comes to disinfecting. That surface is the indoor turf area that almost all gyms and fitness studios have. Today, we are going to tell you how to clean AND disinfect your indoor turf surface to prevent the spread of harmful germs.

Maintenance:

Before taking steps to disinfect your indoor turf, you will want to clear the area of any equipment and prepare the turf itself.

Step 1: Remove all equipment from the area. Remove debris by sweeping or using a flexible, non-metal rake.

Step 2: Vacuum the entire surface to pick up any loose objects and dirt.

Step 3: Brush any flattened areas against the grain to ensure the turf bristles are upright.

Disinfecting:

Now that the area is prepared, we can move onto disinfecting with two simple steps.

Step 1: Use a disinfecting fogger, such as the ULV Fogger or the Nano Atomizer Dry Fogger, cover the entire surface with disinfectant solution. The fogger will allow the disinfectant solution to get into all the small crevasses within the turf.  To learn more about disinfecting foggers, check out our youtube video where we answer some of our most commonly asked fogger questions.

Step 2: Use a disinfectant wipe  to disinfect any equipment that is used on the turf. Wait for both the turf and equipment to dry down. Then enjoy your disinfected equipment and turf without the worry of germs.

We hope you will consider using Roxton Industries for all your disinfecting needs.
