Premier Doug Ford has stated that within the week, there will be an answer as to if Patios will be reopened. There is some speculation that this will be decided using a regional approach to reopening patios and that the rest of Ontario will also follow the same methodology. To help, we have created a checklist of steps that restaurants should take in order to be prepared for reopening.
A sufficient number of disinfectant wipes to ensure a high standard of disinfection.
A social distancing sitting plan so customers and employees can maintain proper social distancing. This may include placing plastic barriers between booths.
Signs and a designated employee to inform customers of the mandatory rules.
