Roxton Industries 5.9” x 7.1” DIY wipes come packed with 160 centre feed dry wipes in a 7.1” x 5.9” reusable plastic canister with resealable top to keep in moisture and maintain integrity. Using cut rolls of paper towels or toilet tissue can leave remnants on surfaces and provide a less than desirable performance when compared to Roxton DIY Wipes. Roxton DIY wipes are a commercial grade substrate durability and cleaning power.

You may ask why use a wipe and not just a spray and a dry cloth? When you spray and wipe with a dry cloth you are essentially immediately soaking up all of the liquid you just applied to the surface. To do its job a cleaner, disinfectant or sanitizer needs to have Dwell time. Dwell time gives the liquid time to interact and react with the surface to do its job. Now think of a wet wipe as an applicator that leaves a thin film of liquid evenly distributed across the surface and providing the Dwell time needed to go to work.

Furthermore, another great benefit of using a wipe is the fabric picks up the foreign matter on the surface allowing the sanitizer to be layered over a clean surface This process helps by reducing solvent waste and increasing cost efficiency while being more effective.

Roxton DIY wipes are made from quality 40 GSM spunlace non-woven fabric with the extreme absorbency, strong toughness, while maintaining a soft feel without linting. The absorbent wipes improve the distribution of your cleaning supplies and detergents, The  5.9” x 7.1”  size helps get the job done quickly. Perforated cutting line design allows for easy dispensing one at a time.

Before you start you need to know the difference between, cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing.

Cleaning removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces or objects. Cleaning works by using a cleaning agent such as soap (or detergent) and water to physically remove germs from surfaces. This process does not necessarily kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.

Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces or objects. Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces or objects. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of cross contamination.

Sanitizing lowers the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a safe level, as judged by public health standards or requirements. This process works by either cleaning or disinfecting surfaces or objects to lower the risk of spreading infection.

So how do you make wet wipes? Start with a Roxton canister of dry DIY wipes and create your own wiping system using everyday liquid products you have on hand, or take a look at our Concrobium Thyme based disinfectant or some of our other cleaning products.

Then simply label the container clearly so all know the contents, but remember – KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. When making hand wipes you can add your favourite non active fragrances or essential oils to create your own unique experience.

WARNING: Never mix different types of active chemicals as adverse reactions can occur. It is recommended to follow the directions and warnings for use on the bottles of liquid that you are using to produce your wet wipes. Depending on the solution used, gloves, masks, shields, or goggles may help protect you from injury from using these chemicals.

You should always refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before you use or dispose of any chemicals, your supplier should provide you with the SDS at your request.

Filling Instruction

• Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment as per the instructions on the Safety Data Sheet.
• add 1000ml liquid poured in slowly giving the wipes ample time to absorb the liquid and avoid spillage.
• For more saturated wipes add extra as you go and for less saturated wipes try less than the 1000ml to start.- you are in full control of the end product.
