Three Simple Recipes to Create Your Own DIY Wipes at Home

Have you ever wondered what ingredients are your surface cleaners or wipes? Many cleaning supplies have a long list of ingredients and it’s difficult to know exactly what you are using on objects, surfaces, or your skin. By creating your own do-it-yourself wipes at home, you have complete control over what goes into your product and you can personalize it to your unique needs. 

With DIY wipes, you can create wipes for the purpose of cleaning, disinfecting, or sanitizing. In this article, we will share three simple wipe recipes to create your own natural cleaning wipes, glass cleaner wipes, and sanitizing wipes. 

Natural Cleaning wipes 

Ingredients:

• 3 cups distilled water (distilled is best, but filtered tap water is fine for short term storage)
• 3 tbsp castile soap or natural dish soap
• Optional: 20 drops of your choice of essential oil (antibacterial essential oils include tea tree, thyme, and rosemary)
• 1 Canister of Roxton DIY Dry Wipes

Instructions

1. Combine water and soap together in a separate container
2. Mix in your choice of essential oils
3. Pour solution into the Roxton DIY Wipes Container
4. Install lid onto wipe container and allow the solution to permeate the substrate
5. Use as needed for quick cleanups! 

Glass Cleaner Wipes 

Ingredients:

• 1 cup distilled water
• 1 cup rubbing alcohol 
• 1 cup vinegar 
• 1 Canister of Roxton DIY Dry Wipes

Instructions

1. Combine ingredients together in a separate container
2. Pour solution into the Roxton DIY Wipes Container
3. Install lid onto wipe container and allow the solution to permeate the substrate
4. Use as needed for glass, mirrors, or screens!

Hand Sanitizing Wipes

Ingredients:

• ½ cups distilled water
• 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel or glycerin 
• 2 cups of rubbing alcohol (we recommend 99% rubbing alcohol. The higher the concentration of rubbing alcohol, the more effective the sanitizing) 
• 1 Canister of Roxton DIY Dry Wipes
• Optional: your choice of essential oil (20 drops)

Instructions

1. Combine ingredients together in a separate container
2. Pour solution into the Roxton DIY Wipes Container
3. Install lid onto wipe container and allow the solution to permeate the substrate.
4. Use as needed for quick sanitizing of your hands or surfaces!

Increase or decrease recipes in proportion depending upon desired saturation.
